CHeck this week’S specialism here OR CLICK ON THE GLOBE !
An interesting event for public and private companies, translation agencies and freelance translators! Always good to learn new things and network.
I just finished translating Education-related terms for the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies’ glossary as part of my work for Translators Without Borders!
It feels really good when your work is used to help others and, at the same time, you learn and gain more experience in one of your specialisms!
If you’re thinking of coming to Portugal for a short break or are planning to stay for good, you might need a Portuguese translator to help you figure some things out first 😉
Just get in touch and let me know how I can help you! 🙂
The MLA held its first-ever international symposium, Other Europes: Migrations, Translations, Transformation, in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 23 to 25 June 2016, in partnership with Heinrich Heine Universität. The symposium featured a wide variety of sessions that examined how European identities have been conceived in the past and present, how European literature has been produced and circulated over time, and how large-scale immigration to and mobility within Europe (as well as the post-1989 redrawing of the European map) have changed these practices. The symposium program featured 68 sessions (including 5 plenary events and 2 receptions) with 227 participants from over 185 universities and colleges
